I've been a photographer since the early 90s when I started as a photographer for my high school newspaper and yearbook. Back then we shot entirely in black and white and processed our own film by hand. It was a great experience but I greatly prefer shooting digitally for the flexibility it offers.
In the mid 90s I studied art at Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg Missouri. My main areas of study were sculpture and painting but I also enjoyed printmaking and drawing.
In 2001 I helped my father start up “Pinnacle Photography” a portrait studio in Warsaw Missouri. Our business consisted mostly of high school seniors, families, and weddings. About a year after opening the studio in Warsaw we made the switch from film to digital capture. I worked in the studio as an assistant and photographer until May of 2008 and I still work with the studio at certain events.
In the fall of 2009 I enrolled in the Photography program at the University of Central Missouri (formerly CMSU) and I am still in the program at this time. I hope to graduate from the program by the end of 2012 with a degree in commercial photography. |
